Wildlife and Landscapes

My wildlife photography is born from a lifelong love for the natural world, the animals we share this planet with and the landscapes that make up theirs and our home. There is an element of soft campaigning with my wildlife work. I want to showcase the amazing beauty of the natural world around us as a contribution towards the narrative for greater environmental protection. The natural world, our world, is under threat from human actions and to paraphrase a famous song, ain’t it always so that we don’t know what it is we’ve got ‘til it’s gone? Most of my wildlife images have been taken within a few miles radius of my home. The world on our back doorstep is often overlooked and under valued but is as important and as much under threat as anywhere else. Through my photography I hope to show what it is we’ve got, local and exotic, and why it is worth fighting for.
